What is the difference of saline solution and purified water for cleansing wounds??

Saline solution is better. Purified water has less salt content than your body does, and so will cause your body to absorb water by osmosis. Saline solution has the same salt content as your body fluids. Also, water stings and saline doesn't.What is the difference of saline solution and purified water for cleansing wounds??
Sterile saline is a salt water solution. Saline is a wonderful compund because the human blood is part blood cells and part ';saline solution'; with other things added in. Purified water is similar to distilled water where impurities of the water are removed to have a more pure water. Since saline is more similar to our blodd compunds the body is fooled into pooling more blood into the area that needs to be healed. Also, salt has been known for years to fight infection/growth of bacteria. What is the difference of saline solution and purified water for cleansing wounds??
saline sol is salt water, purified water is disterilised water.both r free fr bacteria.but use purified water.
Purified water is just that....water. Saline solution is salt water...something that you do NOT want to pour in an open wound. OUCH! Many people don't realize that our bodies have salt in them, and that salt comes out in tears, saliva and sweat. I would stick with the water, or some sort of OTC cleansing solution that doesn't burn....
don't use saline, that's salt water, purified water has no naturally occuring chemicals, like tap water would
Saline solution is simply water that has salt dissolved in it. Purified water is probably water that has been boiled for 10 minutes or so to kill any bacteria that may have been in it.
Saline solution has salt in it.
