Can i have the master lemon cleanse without honey and cayenne pepper? Which means, only lemon water?

I do not have the means to buy maple syrup and cayenne pepper.

Plus, I've heard honey isn't good internally!! Please HELP!!Can i have the master lemon cleanse without honey and cayenne pepper? Which means, only lemon water?
you can't, that's extremely unhealthy.

the maple syrup serves as your sole source of energy. without it you basically have no energy input. that's not good at all because you'll feel very weak and your body will suffer for it. the cayenne pepper is used to keep your metabolism going. without it, again you will suffer because once your done with the cleanse and eat solid food your metabolism won't be able to function and it will be very difficult to digest. probably painful too.

i can sit here and lecture you how bad the whole 'master cleanse' detox is, but i'm sure you must have heard it all before. these detox plans do not serve as permanent weight loss plans. they slow down your metabolism and you aren't getting any nutrients to keep your body healthy. that can't be healthy.

stop looking for short cuts and be healthy!

good luck

When we cleanse tone and moisturise, the toner`s just water isn`t it? so we could use tap water instead?

Don't bother doing any cleansiing, toning and moisturising, it is a waste of money, it is just the industry's way of getting ur cash. I am 37 yrs old and I have never ever used anything on my face apart from cold water! I don't wear make up (unless I am going to a wedding or somewhere like that). I recently went for a skin analysis, and I was told that I had skin that is equivalent to the skin of a 24 year old! So I am a walking advert for proof that you don't need to cleanse etc, your skin has an amazing capacity to cleanse and moisturise itself - that's why it can sometimes be oily, oily skin isn't bad - it just shows that ';it's working';. I actually feel sorry for these women who spend loads of money for things like Roc and ';uplifting wrinkle free whatever';, oh and by the way, I don't have a single wrinkle either! So the answer to your question - forget about the toner and use tap water! When we cleanse tone and moisturise, the toner`s just water isn`t it? so we could use tap water instead?
Some toners for sensitive skin do have water in them, but no toner is just water. Most toners have alcohol, witch hazel, and many times salicylic acid and then some focus on essential oils. I prefer ones that have good oils for the face, but not everyone can. I would look up toners, because sorry they are not just water. When we cleanse tone and moisturise, the toner`s just water isn`t it? so we could use tap water instead?
most toners consist of a lot of alcohol and other harsh astringents. if you don't have a particularly oily complexion, you can stip that step altogether.
no not just water - water drys ur face out

you can get a cleanser and toner in one (which is what i use) which is quicker and simplier to use - I think its by Neutragena
No, toner isnt just water and I wouldn't advise using tap water!

I'd go with the advise about, you can skip it or use something mild, like Boots own brand ones.
Toner is designed to help balance the PH level in your skin as well as remove excess dirt and makeup. It can even be substituted as a cleanser

Try Nivea Young Stay Clear Toner

it's great!
Use Apple Cider Vinegar, or lemon instead.
if you're looking for a good toner rose water is really effective and refreshing

  • The water fast or master cleanse ?

basically im trying to lose weight im 65kg and 5ft 2 ...so im a little overweight also i have alot of important events coming up and it is summer soon (still cold in london )lol so need to lose about 25 pounds and i researched about both the above fasts and i wanted to know if any1 of you have tried it and which would you say is better and any tips about going on them ....also do you think my aim is possible in 10 days if i stuck to it ?

will i see a big change in say about 5 days ? ...please no telling me the risks and problems with it i have read and found out for myself ...anyone that can answer will be great

THANKSS !The water fast or master cleanse ?
The master cleanse is better for you because you get 1300 calories a day to maintain your body while it is losing the fat. Master cleanse is a cleanse not a diet or fast. You have to read the book to get all the information on it or you will do it wrong and mess up your body.

Is water fasting easier and more effective than the master cleanse???

i can do either of them, i prefer the water fasting, but if the master cleanse is better i'll do that.

do you still get the same results with water fasting, as in it gets rid of all the toxins in your body?

also for the fasting, do i have to do the salt water flush? and do i have to take a herbal tea laxative?

PLEASE, anyone who has done either one, can you please give me advice and tell about your experiance, what you took exactly, how long you did it, and how it turned out.

what should i do, step by step.

thank you.Is water fasting easier and more effective than the master cleanse???
Im a recovering anorexic, and I've water fasted, and it does get rid of toxins, but I don't know the rest, since I've never really talked to a doctor. Is water fasting easier and more effective than the master cleanse???
    stop smoking pot!
Fasting is a wrong thing to do - if you think that you clean your body by fasting so you r wrong - there isn t such a thing

the best is just to eat less food and the best is to eat alot of fruits and vegtable

I live in Israel and right now these weeks I mean there is some english programs about the food which say what I m saying - no cleaning and no nothing Just eat less and eat fruits and vegtable
Hi, I've done the Master Cleanse for one week but I have never water fasted for longer than 24 hours. The lemons, maple syrup, and cayenne are said to be very important to the cleanse. For example, the lemons have cleansing properties and vitamin C, the maple syrup imparts minerals, and the cayenne helps the metabolism and has blood purifying properties. You wouldn't get these with water fasting so I would stick with the Master Cleanse.

I don't perform the SWF, but I do drink senna tea at nights to stimulate the bowels. If I went longer than one day without a bowel movement then I would do a SWF.

Hope this helps, I do have a free ecourse on natural health that covers the Master Cleanse. Click here to check it out: http://devotedtohealth.com
If you want to get rid of toxins the healthy (and easier) way, just eat some fiber -- about 100% of the daily value you're supposed to.

I know that all of this fasting and everything to ';cleanse'; the body is popular and all these days -- but that is the exact reason that you should not do it. Depleting your body of any food group, and less for religious or otherwise personal reasons, is extremely unhealthy. And that is exactly what fad diets do -- including fasting. Gallbladder stones are not fun, and living the rest of your life without gallbladder is definitely not fun.

Just stick to fiber and good old-fashioned water. Yes, water does cleanse your body-- and it is absolutely necessary to drink a lot of it when you eat fiber.
Are you fasting to cleanse or fasting to loose weight?

The best thing to do is use a master cleanse and double your natural fiber intake and a multivitamin with magnesium, calcium, iron, and iodine (very small doses of iodine - regulates hypothalmus gland - hormones). High fiber naturally like Broccoli, whole grain breads and cereals, kelp or seaweed and spinach added to a salad, tomatoe and tomatoe juice, jicama (root you eat like an apple), and add a banana to your diet everyday with lots of water. Do not drink sodas or fruit juices if possible during your 7 to 10 day cleanse. It raises your blood sugar/glucose levels that may make you very hungry. You can drink pomegranate or cranberry juices once or twice a day and will help with cleansing your kidneys. Nothing with red dye in it either.

Make sure you use a natural cleansing product from a reputible health food or organic store.

It is not a salt water flush it would be Epson salts you would drink and NO not unless you want stomach cramps and live in your bathroom for 2 days. You would also have to drink black walnut tentures to kill the parasites and that is a liver cleansing agent.

You only need to cleanse every 3 to 4 months depending on the type of diet you are on. If you are not the healthiest eater in the world you may want to cleanse every 2 to 3 months. Ask your health food professional to recommend the 7 day cleanse they have. It will cleanse your colon, liver, and kidneys in one week and will already come with a natural laxative agent in it. If the laxative agent is not strong enough you can take an additonal capsule of Cascara Sagrada with it and it will help get your bowels moving to expel any toxins. Also get yourself an acidophilous with atleast 2 billion active enzymes in it. Take the recommended dosage everyday even during and after your cleanse. It helps your digestive system and cleans your digestive track for better absorbtion of good foods and waste elimination. Good luck on your wellness.
    I would say yes.

What foods will cleanse and restore my liver? (not just 'drink water')?

Salad, vegetables , fruits, and herbal teas can help greatly. I would highly recommend some sort of Detox Tea to help out. Also, eliminating coffee is a great place to start. Good luck :)What foods will cleanse and restore my liver? (not just 'drink water')?
People say milkthistle which you can get at GNC. Here is a link to webmd:

    http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/Milk-鈥?/a>

    Topic Overview

    What is milk thistle?

Milk thistle is a plant that contains silymarin, a substance that improves liver function. Originally from Europe, milk thistle now also grows in the United States.

You can take milk thistle in capsules or as a tincture (combined with alcohol). It has been widely used in Europe and Germany, where it is a common complementary treatment for liver problems such as hepatitis and cirrhosis. In the United States, it is sold as a dietary supplement.

What is milk thistle used for?

People use milk thistle as a complementary treatment for liver problems, particularly hepatitis and cirrhosis and inflammation of the bile ducts (cholangitis). Research on silymarin suggests that it may protect the liver from inflammation. However, it does not have a direct effect on viruses that cause hepatitis, such as the hepatitis C virus.1What foods will cleanse and restore my liver? (not just 'drink water')?
    try salad and salad dressings
Cranberry juice is also really good, Greens also

before applying cleanser, use warm water (not too warm cos it may damage ur skin capillaries) to open up ur pores. after washing, use cooler water to close them back up.

I have actually done both colon cleanse and a liver gallbladder flush, with great results! Both are very beneficial, I noticed results each time I have done them, but the third time I completed a cleanse I saw the best results. Eat in your regular meal, foods which are rich in fiber and fruits dont eat yet any fatty or other foods other than fruits and vege whatever you want and plenty of water. Be sure that while doing this you must have a regular bowel movement to flush the toxins if not you must take laxative. Do this at least a week. You can feel the difference after that but if you feel you can still go on with this eating lifestyle then just go on. It will make you more healthier. Health is wealth. Good luck.

Can I go on the ';master cleanse'; (lemon, syrup, cayenne, water) with grade A syrup?

Or is it so very important to use grade B maple syrup? And what exactly is the ingredients dosage for a day. I heard it was 64ounces, (6 lemons, 1 tablespoon cayenne, 12 tablespoons pure grade b maple syrup, add water=64 ounces to be consumed throughout one day) Is this correct, and what again about the grade (B? or is A ok?) whats it matter? Is it for taste or nutrients? Lots of questions here, Id appreciate an answer for them all...Can I go on the ';master cleanse'; (lemon, syrup, cayenne, water) with grade A syrup?
Not worth it. I went on it and a bunch of my girlfriends did as well. Most of the girls lost a lot of weight, but put it back on plus more once they got off of it. I got really sick by day three and had to stop it. Check out realage.com or any other women's site for health tips.

Food Poisoning HELP..what is the best remedy.. will SALT WATER FLUSH, master cleanse help remove toxin in body

I ate some left over soup (pork caldo de res w/lemon) that I had in my car from Sunday night (im in chicago and it was cold...i guess not cold enough...i know i should of not even thought about it..) I was hungry on Monday night took it out of my trunk and warmed it up in my microwave and added left over rice from fridge. An hour later my stomach started churning..I had a feeling the left over food was a bad idea. Anyways as hours passed I felt worse in the middle of the night i threw up everything yesterday and sunday nights food too. I know I should drink water and rest, but wondering if MASTER CLENSE salt water flush would help clean out all the soup toxin in my body??? is it a good idea or bad?Food Poisoning HELP..what is the best remedy.. will SALT WATER FLUSH, master cleanse help remove toxin in body
Good idea. It really can't hurt, and the salt is curative. I once got a flu and threw up so much I was getting dilusional. I asked my husband to add some salt to my water and it made all the difference. I recovered in just a few hours and was eating again. (sea salt - not iodized table salt - if possible)

Also: Consider taking some apple cider vinegar - we do 1 tsp in a glass of apple juice (100% juice only). Ginger is settling for the stomach. You can make an easy ginger tea with the kitchen spice - 1/4 tsp ground ginger in hot water. Sweeten with honey - which will also help. Actually, a teaspoonful of honey straight wouldn't hurt a bit. Make sure you drink plenty of clear fluids.

Hope you feel better soon.Food Poisoning HELP..what is the best remedy.. will SALT WATER FLUSH, master cleanse help remove toxin in body
I'm not sure what a salt water flush is all about but... you ought to make sure that you are hydrated. If you can tolerate any sort of fluids, I would have water and a Gatorade-like drink to replenish your fluids. When you think that you're getting a bit better, have a little yogurt -- it will help your stomach recover. Then, work your way back to solid foods.
Salt will dehydrate you, when what you need is to keep your fluid intake up. Small amounts, often. Ginger, added to boiling water, with honey, and cooled. If you can take yogurt, make it a ';live culture'; type, like ';Yakult';. Food stored for more than 2 hrs, between 4 degrees centigrade, and 60c, is unsafe (39 Fahrenheit - 140F). I'd consult a doctor, or go to the ER, or free clinic. LEARN FROM THIS!!!
drink a small bottle of castor oil. they have it at walmart and agt walgreens and it cost only about a dollar. it will flush out your intestines and all the residual of the caldo. it's an old fashioned remedy but it works!
I doubt that will help. If you start feeling any worse go to the ER. Food poisoning is nothing to mess with.
that's good. but consult your doctor first. if your stomach is still in trouble...
Call your doctor. I have used activated charcoal, it is used for food poisening or and drug overdoses. You can get it in the pharmacy or healthfood store.
If you ever think you are Food Poisened, You should drink two cups of Water. It dialates the poisining. That is the first thing that the people tell you if you call the poisen controll center

Can you be better cleansed if you mixed some soap with holy water? Would you pop a holy bubble?

Only two soaps are ecclesiastically condoned for Holy Bubbles or as the theologians call them: ';Sacred Suds.'; They are God's Lemon Joy liquid or The Holy Spirit's Dove soap. Can you be better cleansed if you mixed some soap with holy water? Would you pop a holy bubble?
Seeing as there's no ';holy water'; in the Bible, you should ask this of the catholic babylonian cult. Can you be better cleansed if you mixed some soap with holy water? Would you pop a holy bubble?
confession is good for the soul ; start now

Can you drink all the water u want on the master/super cleanse?

Yes you can. But a lot of water is polluted and not good for you. Click on page on PURE WATER to learn more about that. See site below for guidelines on the master cleanser lemonade fast or diet. It has quotes from 18 MDs on not eating (fasting). the salt water flush has caused permanent problems for people. Can you drink all the water u want on the master/super cleanse?
No hon, you cannot! To much water is as bad for you as not enough! Consult your doctor before going ahead!

I know on the master cleanse, all i can drink is water and i can't eat solid food....so what food do i eat?

i can't solids and all i can eat is soft foods.......but what else is a soft food to eat other than oatmeal, ice cream, jello, and pudding?I know on the master cleanse, all i can drink is water and i can't eat solid food....so what food do i eat?
why would you eat ice cream if u're on a cleanse diet?? i think u shouldn't, its not only about liquid food but about the quality as well

u can drink yogurt and milk, or vegetable and fruit juices

all kinds of soups as well!
  • home theater
  • Can u substitute iodized salt for sea salt while trying to do the salt water flush on the Master Cleanse?

The general consensus is that the iodine will interfere with the flushing process. The salt and water stay together in your digestive system because the ratio of salt to water is very similar to that of your blood. I think that the added iodine would change the specific gravity of the salt water and cause the water to be absorbed out of your GI tract, instead of leaving it be to flush you out. But that being said, I haven't tried it with iodized salt...maybe give it a go and see how it works for you?

    Good luck!

    Water Fasting....Master Cleanse diet?

    Hiya...

I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday and they told me about the Master Cleanse diet, water fasting and so on...and I have been trying to lose weight for like- forever!

I just wanted to get some answers, advise, or opinions from you guys about what you have heard about this!

Have you tried it? If I go on a water fast, does that mean NO FOOD for the entire period (say 10days) OR do I just drink water all day then at some point, maybe in the afternoon break the fast and eat something...something healthy of course?

What about the Master Cleanse? Have you tried it? Is it healthy? Water Fasting....Master Cleanse diet?
oh god never ever cut out food completely-it is very very dangerous.

starvation diets never ever work. even if you lose the weight, your body goes into panic mode and stores every little bit of fat when you do start eating again. so you will most likely put on weight from it cos your metabolism goes down too!!!!!!!! a definte no no.

but yes, drink plenty of water throughout the day and for snacks (not main meals) have fruit. like grapes and bananas and mango. they will keeep u fuller for longer and have you tried going vegetarian? i lost loadsa weight when i went veggie.

for meals have say a jacket potato and beans with salad on the side.

always have fruit before a meal and then wait 15 mins before you eat and you will get fuller much quicker and then when you have finished you main meal wait another 15 mins before you even think about having somehting else!!! your mind takes 15 mins atleats to realise your tummy is full. you may feel satisfied for longer then.

with every meal make sure you have a lot of vegetables. get frozen bags of veg. they are just as healthy if not more healthy than fresh and they are so simple to prepare you are more likely to continue eating them. just already cut up for you and you just boil them for 5 or 10 mins.

veg like brocolli and carrots and peas you can eat to your hearts content!! they can fill you up and are so easy for your body to digest. the weight will drop off.

make sure you always ahve a good brekkie, with, you guessed it, fruit involved in there somewhere.

swap refined sugar in teas/cooking for fructose/fruit sugar-it comes in white granules so you wont even notice the difference! it is available from most supermarkets and health stores.

good foods are also pasta with a veggie sauce. chop onions, peppers, courgettes, aubergines etc and put into a tomato sauce (chopped toms with spices/herbs/seasoning etc) very very simple and quick to make, very very healthy and very filling and satisfying!!

good luck chick. dont starve yourself.

make sure though you keep yourself very hydrated with atleast 2 litres of water a day. fill up a bottle in the morning and make sure you have finished it by the end of gthe day every day.

most people can lose weight by healthy eating and exercise. nobody needs to starve

best wishes, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxWater Fasting....Master Cleanse diet?
It is not healthy not to eat anything. When you don't eat enough calories (around 1200 a day), your body goes into starvation mode and tries to conserve energy (ie calories) by slowing down your metabolism and turning anything you eat into stored fat. Not only that, but once you start eating food again you will gain the weight right back. Diets don't work. They may work in the short term, but they eventually fail. In fact, they have an extremely high failure rate. Please do not do the Master Cleanse. That is not a very good idea.
all diets are scams and are harmful to your body.

why not eat healthy instead? also, why is this in the V/V section?

eat your fresh fruits and veggies... stop with the diet b.s.

you do this, you'll get sick and once (if you struggle that long) get back to eating.. you will double your weight.
I am strongly against water fasts. THEY ARE DANGEROUS!

Our bodies need calories to carry on basic functions (such as breathing, thinking, etc.) and water does not contain any. When on water fasts, the body literally begins to feed off of itself and can even start to shut down.

If anything, I would suggest a juice fast - and this can only be done if you have a juicer at home and you juice your own fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables. The juices will give you calories and nutrients, while drinking water in between will help flush out any and all toxins that the juice extracts from your body.

About.com has a a nice guide. You cannot substitute store-bought juices for this - it must be fresh.

With this fast, it is important to gradually begin and gradually end - as the shock to your body of the lack of solid foods can make you binge eat once you are finished. Then you've gained all the weight back and then some and I'm sure that's not what you want.

Please know that fasting/cleansing should to be used to lose weight. It should be engaged in sporadically to rid the body of toxins and heal it. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, nothing besides daily exercise and a good balanced diet will help you do that.

Will it ';cleanse'; your sins if you drink Holy water ?

No. Only the blood of Jesus could do that.

But it may cleanse your bowels. Let us know. Will it ';cleanse'; your sins if you drink Holy water ?
Think about it: if that were true, then God is a machine that responds to stimulus rather than the merits and motivations of people.

If you measure by what God says in the Bible, then Jesus said that only He is ';the way the truth and the life'; and nobody comes to the Father (i.e. God) but through Him.

There are many other citations one could give, but you asked a general question, so I'm trying to keep the answer general.

So if you believe Holy Water is basically a ';magic potion'; having power of its own, then the idea would be worth considering.

But if you believe that God identifies sin as your rebellion toward Him, then he already identified the one answer - the free gift of Christ's forgiveness.

Will it ';cleanse'; your sins if you drink Holy water ?
Think about it, what is Holy Water ? Water blessed by a sinner like you and I ? How come no other denominations have it ?
holy water is meant to clean Adam %26amp; Eve's sins, that is when you are baptized. After you are baptized, only God can clean your sins.
No I doubt it, but it will probably send you to the emergency room with stomach problems after all those hands have been dipped in it :)
holy water is a human (Catholic OFC) invention and is NOT biblical
No, holy water is used for giving blessings. It has no power to absolve you from sin.
Might make you want to pee soon after if you drink too much...
No. That is not the purpose of blessed water.
No, that would be a sin of Superstition.

Do any of u cleanse tone and moisurize or just use water and dry or air dry?

cleanse %26amp; tone wipes.. less mess %26amp; cheeperDo any of u cleanse tone and moisurize or just use water and dry or air dry?
Yep, as above, cleansing wipes that come with built in moisturiser. Great for any skin. Can be used anywhere and at any time.Do any of u cleanse tone and moisurize or just use water and dry or air dry?
I wash my face with simple facewash twice a day and then moisturise it with day or night cream. I don't use toner as I have really dry skin and I dont really know what its for anyway...

If I'm feeling lazy I use face wipes instead then stick on a little moisturiser afterwards
    i use face wash,

then i either moisturise, or I tone then moisturise.
i always wash my face with water, then i use cleanser because water doesnt remove half the make-up or dirt from your face, cleanser opens your pores and removes all the dirt, i wipe the cleanser off with a cotton pad and then put toner on which removes excess cleanser and also closes your pores after the cleanser, and i top all this off with moisturiser,.
I usually use Lush Babyface cleanser on cotton pads to get rid of makeup, then wash my whole face with Witch Tea Tree Foaming Cleanser. Then I moisturise my oil-prone skin with Lush Enzymion. (LUSH IS AMAZING.)

For the first time in my life I have really clear skin. :D
i clense , tone then moisturise with bodyshop products , not coz im snoby or anything just coz ive got really awkward skin so when i find a product that actuallly works for me i stick to it.
i cleanse with nivia visage, tone with lush tea tree water and and moisturise same at night but with night cream.

just soap and water ages and wipes don't cleanse deeply enough

Does water baptism really do cleanse your sins?

Spiritual baptism and water baptism don't mix, so which one is the right one for mortal baptism?Does water baptism really do cleanse your sins?
Religions was made up by selfish humans to cover up their pain and suffering for their convenience. Its easier to blame on external thing than look internally. Its just an EXCUSE.Does water baptism really do cleanse your sins?
    Consider Acts 2:38. . . .

    ';Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.';

With that being said they DO mix. They go hand in hand.
No, water baptism is the public declaration of your inner decision to become a Christian. The only cleansing that is done at the time of baptism is your body, and that's only if you don't shower before your baptism (not highly recommended lol)
    Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

There is two different Baptisms. Water Baptism is a commandment, but alone it doesn't save but rather is an open show of faith to the world that you truly believe. The other Baptism is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, which all receive when they repent and believe. There is a third, The Baptism of Fire. This is mainly for the Ministers of the Gospel.
    no
Jesus cleanses you, baptism is just the obedience that follows from faith.
baptism per say means to dye change colors or put a color and if your color is christian they can identify you like red white and blue you are American it's a Greek word!!
When Christ instituted the 7 Sacraments, he put a physical requirement on each. For example, for a baptism to be valid, the person has to pour water over the head and say the correct words, while have the correct intent. It is ultimately God that forgives the sins. The water is only a sign. However, if I were a convert taking classes for baptism, and I was sincere, and killed in a car wreck on the way to class, that is covered under baptism of desire, meaning I was taking active steps to be baptised, and therefore the same as having been baptised.
When we repent of our sins and put our faith in Christ, we are saved. That is when the Spiritual Baptism takes place. The water baptism is a work of our faith, an outward symbol of an inner work within us. It is also an act of obedience to God. All new Christian should get baptized as soon as possible, but water baptism does not save anyone.
only if you believe it does...water is the symbol used for cleansing, so something is getting cleaned. in christianity your original sins are washed away...unfortunately new sins soon replace them
What does baptism do? It obeys Christ! (Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 24:46-47 compared to Acts 2:38)

';And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him'; (Hebrews 5:9)

Baptism puts one ';into Christ'; (Romans 6:3-4, Galatians 3:27)

Baptism puts one into contact with His death. (Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:12)

At Christ's death is where the saving blood was shed and offered for our sins. How can we contact His blood if we have not contacted His death?

Baptism ';saves'; ';through the resurrection of Jesus Christ';. 1 Peter 3:20-21.

You are correct to note that there is ';one baptism'; (Ephesians 4:5) This baptism is the one commanded in the great commission (Mark 16:16). This is baptism immersion in water (Acts 8:36-38, Acts 10:47-48).

It is compared to the water of the flood that washed away the wickedness from the world and delivered Noah's family to a new life in a newly cleansed world. At baptism, we rise to walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4) We cannot be saved if we are not ';born again'; into this new life.

Note that Spirit baptism was a promise, and never a command. This promise was fulfilled in Acts 2.

The baptism that ';saves'; (1 Peter 3:21) was a command (Acts 10:48, Mark 16:16) and it requires us to obey.
No, in my opinion and through many years of study, I feel that water baptism is not a saving thing. What I've seen it do is to introduce us to God in an adoption. God adopts us into a group of believers with the idea that this group will teach us and raise us to become believers. Only believing in Jesus will save a person. Baptism has little to do with one's beliefs, especially if it is an infant baptism.

    Hob
you have three different adjectives for baptism. Why make it so complicated. Your sins are not cleansed by baptism anyway. Your sins were washed away by the blood of Jesus on Calvary, if you accept him as your Lord and Savior.

    Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!

A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at http://www.get2itnow.info where they have a free trial and you only pay 6.95$ shipping and handling.

Is the purpose of baptism to cleanse the body with water?

Peter explained what happens at baptism when he said, ';Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit'; (Acts 2:38). But he did not restrict this teaching to adults. He added, ';For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, every one whom the Lord our God calls to him'; (2:39). We also read: ';Rise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name'; (Acts 22:16). These commands are universal, not restricted to adults. Further, these commands make clear the necessary connection between baptism and salvation, a

    connection explicitly stated in 1 Peter 3:21: ';Baptism . . . now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a clear conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.';

Paul notes that baptism has replaced circumcision (Col. 2:11–12). In that passage, he refers to baptism as ';the circumcision of Christ'; and ';the circumcision made without hands.'; Of course, usually only infants were circumcised under the Old Law; circumcision of adults was rare, since there were few converts to Judaism. If Paul meant to exclude infants, he would not have chosen circumcision as a parallel for baptism.

This comparison between who could receive baptism and circumcision is an appropriate one. In the Old Testament, if a man wanted to become a Jew, he had to believe in the God of Israel and be circumcised. In the New Testament, if one wants to become a Christian, one must believe in God and Jesus and be baptized. In the Old Testament, those born into Jewish households could be circumcised in anticipation of the Jewish faith in which they would be raised. Thus in the New Testament, those born in Christian households can be baptized in anticipation of the Christian faith in which they will be raised. The pattern is the same: If one is an adult, one must have faith before receiving the rite of membership; if one is a child too young to have faith, one may be given the rite of membership in the knowledge that one will be raised in the faith. This is the basis of Paul’s reference to baptism as ';the circumcision of Christ';—that is, the Christian equivalent of circumcision. Is the purpose of baptism to cleanse the body with water?
No. Hopefully you took a shower before you went to be baptized. It is an outward show of a change that has already happened in your heart. It is to make a public confession that you have been born again by accepting Jesus as your Savior. Is the purpose of baptism to cleanse the body with water?
Baptism by water is not to cleanse our body but our souls of our previous sins or ignorance.
After approaching God privately in prayer to express our determination to walk in his ways, we take the next step. We make our dedication known publicly by our baptism in water. This is a public declaration that we have vowed to do God’s will. At the beginning of his earthly ministry, Jesus was baptized by John, thus setting an example for us. (Matthew 3:13-17) Later, Jesus commissioned his followers to make disciples and baptize them.

The Bible shows that after getting baptized, Jesus “came up from the water” or “out of the water.” (Matthew 3:16; Mark 1:10) Clearly, John the Baptizer had immersed Jesus totally. Complete immersion appropriately symbolizes the dramatic change we have made in our life—we figuratively die to our former life course and begin life anew in the service of God.

Baptism is both a serious and a joyful occasion. The Bible indicates that Jesus was praying when John immersed him in the Jordan River. (Luke 3:21, 22)
We believe that baptism with water -- by immersion, pouring, or sprinkling -- in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, cleanses us from original sin and personal sin (and their punishments) and initiates us into the life of the Church. It is more than merely symbolic; it's more than an expression of belief of the one being baptized (or his parents); it is a Sacrament, both a sign and medium of sanctifying grace. Baptism does something; it remits sins:

    Ezekiel 36:25

[Prophecy] Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

    Acts 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    Acts 22:16

And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Like all Sacraments (the other 6 being Eucharist, Confession, Confirmation, Holy Orders, Matrimony, and Unction), Baptism is not a work of man; it is a work of Christ, an act of His grace:

    Titus 3:5-7

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

It is through Baptism that we are ';born again'; (or ';born from above';) of ';water and of the Spirit'; (John 3:3-5). Read the entire chapter of John 3 which speaks of being ';born again'; and please note that it is all about Baptism. Despite what some Protestants believe, being ';born again'; doesn't mean ';having an emotional high'; or ';making a decision for Christ,'; though these are fine and good, the latter being necessary after the age of reason; being ';born again'; very clearly refers to Baptism of water and of the Spirit. This regeneration of water and Spirit is necessary to enter the Kingdom of God:

    John 3:3-5

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
The purpose of baptism is death of the flesh by drowning %26amp; alive in the spirit as you are lifted up out of the water, therefore indentifing with Jesus Christ.

John baptised for the remission of sins, it is not the same baptism that we recieve.

Jesus never sinned therefore the baptism was accually an enogoration into His priesthood, that all righteousness be fullfilled.
it is to die with Christ and to be resurrected in the spirit, the second birth
To clean us of original sin
    No.

1 Peter 3:21 specifically says, “…not the removal of dirt from the flesh…”

Rather, “baptism now saves… through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” It is “an appeal to God for a good conscience.”

Here baptism is compared to the salvation of Noah in the flood (verse 20). The flood washed away the wickedness in the world and delivered Noah and his family to begin a new life in a new world.

At baptism, sins are washed away (Acts 22:16), we are baptized into Christ’s death (where the saving blood was shed), and we “rise to walk in newness of life” (Romans 5:8-10, Romans 6:3-13, Colossians 2:12, Galatians 3:27).

“And corresponding to that, baptism now saves you - not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience – through the resurrection of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 3:21, NASB)
The simplest definition of ';believers baptism by immersion'; is...

This is how a believer identifies himself with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a confession of faith in the Savior and a message to the world that I belong to Christ and that I am committed to following Him. Baptism follows salvation... It is not something that we do to earn God's salvation. We are baptized BECAUSE we are saved.. NOT in order to be saved. (Acts 2)

When a believer comes up out of the waters of baptism it signifies that he is raised from the dead to walk in newness of life...

A believer is ';cleansed'; by the blood of Christ, not by the waters of baptism. Baptism signifies that we have been washed in the blood of the Lamb.

Remedial ';cleansing'; is accomplished by the ';washing of water by the Word';... ';How shall a young man cleanse his way.. By taking heed to the Word of God...'; (Psalm 119)
it's a symbolic gesture to dedicate your life to God,which is in my religion we don't get baptized until we are old enough to know what we want.

I am just doing a 7 day cleanse with the lemonade drink three times a day, 12oz of tomato juice each day, as much water as I want and a bowl of vegetable broth each evening. This was the routine I followed to lose 12 pounds............

I am not doing the master cleanse with the salt water flush/herbal laxative teas/etc. I know some stay on the master cleanse for 40 days.......so I guess it would be alright to go ahead and start my 7 day detox for a second time.Just wanted to clarify - I am not doing the Master Cleanse with the salt water flush/laxative tea......?
This site tells about the Master Cleanser Lemonade Fast with info on breaking fasts with qoutes by 11 MDs. The salt water flush is not healthy. See ';anti-water'; on home page. The body would digest water with a little salt. It does not digest salt flush since that much salt can kill you, so it goes right thru digestive system and out like diarrhea.

Much safer are enemas. Used in hospitals everyday. Info on it is on another page.

My tank water is cloudy, and i have cleansed it a billion times today, yet it is still cloudy what do I do????

well as you might have read, my water is still dirty, i rinsed the pebbles a lot of times and it is still cloudy!!! i am freaking out, i wonder if my fish will be hurt please help me!!!

S.O.S!My tank water is cloudy, and i have cleansed it a billion times today, yet it is still cloudy what do I do????
By cleaning the tank as often as you are, you're prolonging the problem. The cloudiness is natural when you set up a tank, and it will clear on its own within a few weeks to 2 months. Right now your tank is cycling. This means that you're developing a population of bacteria in the tank (this is a good thing, despite how it may sound).

Here's what's happening in your tank at the monemt. Your fish eat and they produce wastes, including ammonia. Ammonia is toxic to your fish. The bacteria use ammonia as a source of energy (food) and convert it to nitrite. Nitrite is also toxic to fish, but other bacteria will use this as an energy source and convert it to nitrate. Nitrate your fish can tolerate, as long as the concentration doesn't get too high (best to keep it under 40ppm, although lower is better). As long as there is more ammonia and nitrite than your bacteria need, they'll reproduce. This bacterial ';bloom'; is the cloudiness you see in the water.

The bacteria will reside in the gravel and on your filter pad. Each time you take out the gravel or filter media and clean it in water with chlorine, you're killing the bacteria. This means less bacteria to process the wastes (which will cause ammonia and nitrite to rise, which can be dangerous to your fish), plus you get additional reproduction, so your water gets cloudy within a few days.

The best way to solve both the water quality and cloudiness issues is to not clean your tank as you have been. Instead, get an aquarium test kit and monitor your ammonia and nitrite levels and let them be your guide as to when to clean the tank. Use a gravel vacuum to clean everything lying on the gravel surface and down into the gravel right in front of the tank (where it's seen) every cleaning. Other than that, only clean about 1/3 of the gravel well. This leaves the bacteria in the other 2/3 undisturbed so they can repopulate the area just cleaned. When you clean your filter media (and most can be reused several times) rinse it in a separate container with a little water from the tank. This cleans the filter without destroying the bacteria with chlorine. And avoid cleaning the gravel and filter media on the same day so even fewer bacteria are lost.

Other than that, just be sure you aren't overfeeding your fish which will add more ammonia to the tank. They should only be fed what they can eat in 2-3 minutes twice a day - no more. If there is any food that's uneaten after 3 minutes, net it out of the tank.

Using this method, the tank will clear on its own and stay that way in a few weeks, as long as you don't overfeed, overcrowd the tank, and don't use antibiotic medications which will destroy the tank bacteria, making you have to start the process over.

See the links below for more info on cycling:My tank water is cloudy, and i have cleansed it a billion times today, yet it is still cloudy what do I do????
take the fish out of the tank and put them in a bucket then take the tank and take it completely apart and vigorously clean every little thing in it then put it back together again and if its still cloudy it shouldn't hurt the fish and it should eventually settle to the bottom or get cleaned out by the filter

    hope this helps
You need to make sure and wash your pebbles in hot soapy water...nake sure they are rinsed very well. You could also get a placostamos.(the fish that sucks the algea off of the tank) Also if yo ugo to the pet stroe they sell these fizzy tablets that help keep the water clean also
Every time you take everything out of your tank and scrub it down, you kill the tank's bioload, it's natural way of keeping the tank water in check. Ammonia is introduced in to the water by fish waste and left over food. Nitrites form and break down the ammonia, which then produces Nitrates. That is the Nitrogen Cycle. Only then, will the tank be stable. Your cloudyness is more than likely a bacterial bloom because the tank is going through it's Nitrogen Cycle. Have patience, do 10% waterchanges once a week and quit breaking the tank down and scrubbing things. That starts the tank cycle all over again. Get test kits for Ammonia, pH, Nitrate and Nitrite. When Ammonia and NItrites are 0 and Nitrates are around 5 to 10ppm, the tank is ready to SLOWLY have fish added to it. When tank is cycled completely. Do 25% waterchanges with good, clean, dechlorinated water twice a month and your water will be clear as a bell, just like mine!
The reason your tank is getting so cloudy is because you are cleaning it too much. The rocks, other than when you first put them in should NEVER be taken out and cleaned. All the water is not to be taken out either.

Clean to you and me is not clean for a fish. The purpose of Cycling your tank in the first place allows good bacteria to build up to keep the waste from the fish under control. Removing the pebbles and water you destroyed the good bacteria in the tank and now the tank is trying to work overtime to make up for it causing a bacterial bloom.

LET YOUR TANK GO. The cloudy water will clear if you just let it go. You will have to test your water over the next few days to ensure you are not getting ammonia spikes.

DO NOT add chemicals to clear the water they are not going to help. Put up with the cloudy water for a few days, it will clear.

When cleaning your tank, you can still remove decorations to clean them scrape the walls of the tank. Using your gravel siphone only remove 25% of the water and replace with fresh dechlor water. Once per week.

Just be sure to test your water each day for the next couple of days to avoid ammonia spikes. If you see your ammonia rising above .5 You will want to do a 25% water change to bring that down.

Feel free to email me if you need more help
Have you checked the temp? sometimes if it is in the 80s it stays cloudy. do you have a filter? if so it may take a few hours to clean thoroughly. My son put dawn dish soap in my tank last month and most of my fish lived so yours should be fine. Also you might want to add conditioner like clor-out or something similar it neutralizes the chlorine in the water you can get it at walmart. good luck hope I helped some.

(Also if there is too much sunlight it can cause algae to grow and make the tank cloudy.)
It may be the fish. The easiest way to get a fish clean is to get a placostamos. They're kind of expensive, so if you don't want one, I suggest moving your fish into a new bowl for a few days so the water will cleanse them. My brother has that problem. He cleans the tank every week, but you can't see the fish, the tank is so dirty. It's just brown and icky.
It may just need to run through the filter several times. My tank water was turning green for awhile and no amount of algae tablets or cleaning out did the trick. I left it alone for a week and it cleared up.
I would just leave it alone the filter should take care of it. It sounds like you might have already done all you can do the filter will do the rest.
DON'T wash the pebbles or anything else in soap! That will make matters worse and possibly poison the fish! Cloudy water can be good, it can mean the tank is cycling and creating healthy bacteria -- cloudy doesn't always mean bad. Ease up on food, and let the filter clean up the water. Putting in more chemicals to clear up cloudiness will just harm your fish. If you test the water and it's all in range, it could just be healthy bloom. If your tank is fairly new, or you did a major change of water, it is probably just cycling again. You also may want to tell us how many fish you have in how large an aquarium, and what kind of fish -- goldfish, for instance, can make a smaller tank dirty instantly and will always have a cloudy tank unless they have a large enough size. Good luck!
Well, the first question I used to ask my customers is ';is it cloudy grey or cloudy green?'; Two completely different answers....

(Oh and before I forget NEVER use soap in your aquarium as someone else suggested. It leaves a residue even when rinsed well and will kill fish.)

Cloudy grey: I would ask you several other questions - Have you just set this tank up with new water? If so, the beneficial bacteria hasn't had a chance to multiply yet and when it does, it causes the water to have a cloudy appearance. Add a product to help the beneficial bacteria grow such as Hagen's B-Clear. You could also purchase a live aquarium plant from your local pet store. It will have beneficial bacteria on it and will help to seed your tank. Try Anacharis or Elodia as it is inexpensive and the fish can eat it (depending on the kind of fish you have). How long has the tank been set up and when is the last time you did a water change? By the way, a water change is NOT adding water when the level of the tank becomes low! A water change should be done with a gravel siphon 10% of the tank's capacity once per week - period. No miracle cures, I don't care what the companies that are trying to get you to purchase their products say. Have you had your water tested lately? An abundance of ammonia, nitrite or nitrates in the water could indicate that there is excessive waste or food decomposing in your tank that will cause cloudy water.

(Let's stop for a moment - if this is all new water/new tank syndrome and you keep rinsing the gravel - STOP! You are killing the beneficial bacteria and you have to keep starting over again!)

Are you overfeeding your fish? Fish do NOT need to eat daily (the average freshwater community tank). I feed mine 2-3 days in a row and then I don't feed them for a day. Then 2-3 days then skip a day. They also should only be fed what they can eat in 1-2 minutes NOT 5 minutes like some of the jars of flake food say! Who is telling you to feed that much? The COMPANIES TRYING TO SELL YOU MORE FOOD! :) You can feed once in the morning and then once in the late afternoon - early evening, but don't feed them at midnight, turn the light off and go to bed. You don't eat in the dark - MOST fish don't either. Decomposing food will cause a tank to become cloudy also. The remedy? You guessed it - water changes! NOT complete total annihilation of the entire tank. To get things back in shape, purchase an appropriate size gravel siphon for your tank's size and do a 10-20% water change. Wait til tomorrow and do 10-20% again. People - stop changing 100% of your water and washing the gravel! This kills all your GOOD bacteria! OK, listen..... do you have a dirty bottom in the tank? Can you see waste or uneaten food decomposing in there? Simple - stop overfeeding and start doing water changes!

By the way - the fish can live through the cloudy water if it is new tank syndrome if you employ the water change method. If it is bacteria multiplying in there and the tank is cycling, the ammonia can kill the fish. Water changes like I have described will dilute the ammonia and help the fish to live.

If it is a well established tank and you haven't been doing your weekly 10% water changes don't fret! (Don't tear the tank apart either!) Do 10% water changes daily for a week WITH a gravel siphon and then have your water tested again. Once the tank is back in shape, start the 10% weekly method. Trust me - it works!

Now, if the tank is ';green cloudy'; that indicates single celled algae spores floating around in the water. NO, algae eaters won't help a bit and algae killers won't either. First, find the source of the problem. Leaving the lights on 24-7? Stop! 8-10 hours of daylight max. Turn your lights off for two days and do 25% water changes daily for 4 days. If the tank is getting direct sunlight from a window - move the tank - not a good place for it.

See, with so many variables, I hope I haven't confused you but it isn't an easy question to answer. I do know this - stop rinsing the gravel! Even if it isn't the cause of the problem, it is contributing now because you are killing off all the good bacteria! Good luck :)
Make sure you put in a water conditioner. It might just be the sediment from your pebbles/rocks. Changing out too much water for regular maint. is not a good idea - established aquariums have good bateria colonies growing, and when you change out all the water, it takes awhile for this colony to build back up.

well all i have to say is that if u tale the laxative sur making a big mistake because you could get dehydrated and if u get severly dehydrated then in worst cases it can lead to death and i dont think your husvband and children would like it.

i think they would prefere u how ever u looked as long as u had a breath left in your body then skinny and dead.

this diet will make u gain because when u brake it whcih u will eventually then u will over indulge and gain weight.

take my advice or leave it cause i really dont care anymore

but i am talking from expireance and from an eaing disorder too.
i've looked into this cleanse but never actually did it. This is the one that uses fresh lemons and cayenne pepper right?

I've seen smooth move tea in health stores. You should also scour your pharmacies for it. They might have it.

Grade B maple syrup can be found at Trader Joe's, Whole foods, and other specialty stores. I've always looked in regular grocery stores and they only have Grade A.

And yes you can use regular tap water, but if you have a brita or pur pitcher, I'd use that. Good luck.

eat raw veggies and fruit, eat foods high in fiber. (That almost always helps with constipation.)

you can fast on nothing but water for a day

find a probiotic supplement to help keep good bacteria in your system

the salt water thing is NOT for ingesting, it's for an enema ;)

make sure it's your colon you cleanse first, cleansing anything other than that first, will just perpetuate the cycle of having the bad stuff in and keeping it in.Homemade Colon Cleanse Recipes...Salt Water?
If you drank salt water you would barf.

Has anyone heard of ';ion Cleanse';? It is a machine that ';ionizes water molecules'; in a foot bath.

It is supposed to help detoxify the body by pulling impurities out of the body through the feet. And, depending on the kind of acidic waste that your body releases, the water in the foot bath turns various colors. I just came back from a salon where someone was having this done and it piqued my curiousity.

So what do you think? Is this plausible or just a bunch of hooey?Has anyone heard of ';ion Cleanse';? It is a machine that ';ionizes water molecules'; in a foot bath.
I am a massage therapist and although I can't say it will ';cure'; anything I can say I have seen dramatic results from it for all types of ailments.Has anyone heard of ';ion Cleanse';? It is a machine that ';ionizes water molecules'; in a foot bath.
My Grandma has one. I used it when I visited. She seems to think it works. The color of the foam depend on what is being taken out of your body
I am a massage therapist, we just got 2 for our spa. They are pretty interesting. I used the machine during a cleanse. It seemed like a nice addition to my fast.
I have a friend who is a massage therapist. She uses (owns)one. I have never done it but my friend says it works very well.

Can i do a cleanse with just water?

Uhhhh, yeah! It's called a 'fast'! A true 'fast'! All this crap about 'juice fasts' is just crap!! The only way to enter proper ketosis and not set off toxic keto-acidosis is with a strict water fast. But be warned: while the human body is well-equipped to handle a water fast for a maximum of 30-40 days, beyond that is inadvisable and dangerous. 20 days is safe and advisable, though. Wear a diaper, too. It will help you to eliminate when your body wants to eliminate. Can i do a cleanse with just water?
As in drinking or for your skin?

    Water for drinking is essential.

For your skin, ummm, probably not. You would need like lotions and soaps and stuff. Can i do a cleanse with just water?

I want to use white vinegar mixed with water as a toner for my face, after I cleanse, what kind should I buy?

I recommend apple cider vinegar. It has a lot of benefits for your health and your skin. I used to use it on my face and I bought Heinz brand but maybe you can find an organic one somewhere at a health store or Whole Foods.

Will holy water really cleanse me of my evil sins?

Is holy water that powerful that it will clean me of the sins that I have like pride, lust, etc? What makes it so powerful? Will holy water really cleanse me of my evil sins?
If it could, the confessionals would cease to be.

It's water that is blessed and holds a significance to some people, like my mother.

Will holy water really cleanse me of my evil sins?
No, the Catholic Church never teaches that. Holy Water is a mere sacramental and its functions as it signifies. You have to know the difference or the yapping dogs who bark when it hears others bark without knowing what everyone is barking about will lead you astray.

To understand the power of holy water you should understand the meaning of holiness in the biblical sense. Then you will understand how people survived long before modern humans ever heard of the word Psychology.
coming from someone whose screen name is satan loves. any who the only religion that i know of is catholic and no it cannot clean you of your sins that's not what its for. you need to go to confession and repent and ask for forgiveness that's how you rid yourself of your sins. holy water is only to supplement your mass experience it helps you connect better with the holiness i guess. its to bless you. it has nothing to o with you being a sinner and its not anything powerful like your talking about now if it burns when it touches your skn it means your evil and you should work on that.
Yes...the water is all magickal and like. If you pour it over your head and drink it, then your sins will be forgiven and jesus wont mind that you killed thirty people because you drank the amazing holy water. He will however, send that little kid who was jelouse of her brothers bike to hell though because envy is a sin and the little girl didnt drink the holy water.

(btw im not trying to offend anyone i just dont think the idea of 'holy water' is very realistic!)
I am with Marysia, only you can try and control your actions. There is no such thing as cleaning out all of your sin because whats done is done! All you can do now is move forward and correct the way you walk. The Bible says in Matthew 7:13,14 ';Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.'; So like the scripture states it is not going to be easy. Everyone struggles to do what is good. It is so much easier to follow the broad road as it is to follow the narrow road. And also like a few other people pointed out heartfelt prayer will also help only if God sees that you are trying to make an effort yourself! I hope this helped, I love religious questions where I can help with Bible based principles! E-mail me if you have any further questions! And try to keep up the good work!
Well the holy water helps, but you would also need some holy soap. And if you have some hard to get spots of evil on you, a holy loofah will help with that. Scrub your soul clean! And don't forget a good holy shampoo and conditioner. You don't want any evil buildup in your hair. Satan is wiley like that.
No there is only ONE savior - Jesus Christ. And YOU have to be willing to allow him to transform you by the Word of God. Holy water and anointing oil is only a symbol of the the blood of Christ that was shed for the world's sin at Calvary.

The only thing that makes Holy water or anointing oil powerful is the power of the faith of the one using it and the faith of the one its being used on.
    No it will do NOTHING.

Holy water is nothing but tap water with a pinch of salt and blessed by a priest who has no real spiritual authority at all, except stolen authority.

Dunk a sinner in water and what do you get? A WET sinner.

    That's all.

Sin is not dirt that can be washed away by blood or water. That's just pure idiotic superstition.

There is something that can get rid of sin: Repentance and forgiveness, NOT blood or water that makes a royal bloody mess.

All the wise men in or out of religious systems knew this fact including Jesus.

    ';Except ye forgive others their sins against you, God will not forgive your sins...';

I see nothing here about worship, ritual or being sprinkled with Holy Water.

Forgiveness is an ACTION a DEED and amazing one at that. One act of forgiveness can erase a trillion sins.

Water, worship, prayer, ritual does absolutamente NADA.

Waste of time. Stop being conned by priests and preachers and lunatic prophets who know nothing but how to make a fast buck at your expense and who wouldn't know God if God came and kicked them in the nuts.

Like Jesus, I also as one of his brothers, speak with authority and am NOT afraid to step on toes, especially the toes of those who oppress the people with their lies and hideous laws.

Political Correctness? I spit on this attack on free speech and so would Jesus who loved to make the Powers-That-Be squirm like the hypocritical maggots they were.

I love the guy, this Jesus. The Church [in majorem] I can't stand like the Sioux medicine man Black Elk who loved Jesus yet had certain reservations about his greedy followers. [No pun intended.]
judging by your user name im guessing this isnt a genuine question, but ill give you a genuine answer. holy water doesnt do anything. only accepting Jesus as your personal saviour can take away your sins. of course we cant forget true repentance and asking for His forgiveness
No. Holy water is tap water blessed by a man who is no more holy than you or me, although he might think so.

only 1John1:9 can cleanse you (that is if you are a believer in Christ absolving the sin problem on the cross... belief in him alone in faith alone)
as with many religions, holy water is only a symbolic substance. Do you think communion is actually consumtion of Jesus' flesh and blood? It's only a method in which we can display to others our faith.
If you really believe it will! I just think it's some germy water everyone sticks they're fingers in..then you touch your face, yuck. But it is blessed water, so that means something. No it will not clean you of your sins.
No, however, if you heat it up and add soap and a scrubbing brush it WILL cleanse you of ordinary mud, dirt, dust etc.

What makes it so powerful is the soap and heating it up.
    No-- to be cleansed-

You must asked God for forgiveness..........

What makes it powerful- nothing - it is water- nothing Holy about it at all................
No of coarse not- you must travel first to the high mountains of Cal Cal Cuta where an old dude with a long beard will forgive you and also recommend a nice mexican food joint. Just stay away from the fish tacos- they'll kill ya!
no only YOU can stop sinning. God will help you if you ask. the water itself is not powerful -- it's the faith behind it that can move mountians.
The water is only symbolic, only faith in Jesus Christ and the sacrifice that he made for you can cleanse you of your sins.
Our sins are washed away by Jesus Christs blood only! It is only by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior that you can be forgiven
Mmm, I don't know about that. God can do that. Water, whether some priest says it's holy or not, cannot.
Blessings from God... If you got to the holy water store and didn't read the ingredients, you don't deserve it.
Eating lots of fiber will clean you out.
    hahahahhahahahahha, it's all bullshit
Yes - if you also use soap
It would be the Faith behind that water.
Only if you add gin and tonic.
its just water. youre still dirty with sins.
You can buy holy water on ebay... does that tell you anything?
maybe if you mix it w/ irish spring.
call me i have some for sale
If it did, than Jesus wasted his time on that cross thing
There is no ';holy water'; in the Bible. It cannot cleanse sins.

Only the blood of Jesus fully cleanses sins, and you get that by believing the truth about Jesus :)

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved, no matter what!

Please pray now: ';Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose from the dead. Thank You for eternal life!'; You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die. :)

Is it a good idea to cleanse onself with water after using the restroom like Muslims do?

Muslims wash their privates after they use the restroom with water and also they use the toilet paper. Then they wash their hands with soap. This is the Sunnah of prophet Muhammed. But it also prevents disease. Now I think that is unique to their religion, because I never hear of other religions doing this. Do you do this?Is it a good idea to cleanse onself with water after using the restroom like Muslims do?
    I am a Muslim and I do that :)

well Islam urges Muslims to be clean in every way possible, we are ordered to shave off our underarms and pubic area, to stay clean, to always clean and clip our nails, to dress nicely and smell good, to clean up with a musk on a cotton after periods...( evedintly it was discovered that musk is a natural anti-biotec and it's perfect after periods because it is the time when the number of disease causing bacteria is the highest..)...I just love thatIs it a good idea to cleanse onself with water after using the restroom like Muslims do?
...nope I've never heard of any religion or people doing this ever...*sarcasm*
i go #2 before i shower. always before....never after (unless i REALLY have to, but i try to shower after that. no sense in leaving a mess to be taken care of later.)

so i guess its sortof like that.
I do correct handwashing technique per my medical training, which always draws odd stares from the unknowing person next to me at the sinks, but it's kept me from getting a LOT of weird illnesses so I'm sticking with it. I'll wash my nasty bits in the shower or if there's a bidet handy.

    _()_
I knew of a British professor that did this. I think it had to do with the culture over there. I unfortunately walked in on him in the restroom at college.

I think he missed his bidet.

And yes I am sure he was WASHING.
Please understand the soap and water can only washing clean a body and hands but not the soul and sin. Sin is not clean by anyone else but yourself.
If you believe this, then feel free to accept food given to you by left-handed Muslims.
It's funny now that the toilet paper companies are coming out with these little potty wipes for kids and also now for adults. Like duh.... you just now figured out that people are still nasty after only using the paper?

    :)
It is unnecessary for the average person to do all that. For them it is a religious ritual and nothing more. They believe that by doing so they will spiritually acceptable to God. They copy their rituals from the Jewish faith and even exaggerate them. Now, if you want to do the same, be my guest.

    Cheers,

    Mr. M on ';cleanse.';
In Europe it was customary to have a bidet in the bathroom, with which to wash oneself after going to the toilet.

This custom is not so widespread as it once was, possibly because we now have better quality of paper and also improved understanding in the past 100 or so years of the need (and methods) for good handwashing with a quality soap. Or maybe because of the expense of a bidet. Hard to say.

I think this is common to most people.

Christians certainly have practices related to cleanliness, as do jewish and hindu people. I did not know until this post that muslim people also have such practices, but it makes sense.

If you did some research, you would probably find that most people have some sort of ritual, custom or rule relating to this basic human function.

    Best wishes :-)
I always thought this was a European custom. It is common practice for all people to use toilet paper and wash ones hands after using the bathroom.
    *******************CLEANLINESS IN ISLAM*********************

Islam places great emphasis on cleanliness, in both its physical and spiritual aspects. On the physical side, Islam requires the Muslim to clean his body, his clothes, his house, and the whole community, and he is rewarded by God for doing so. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, for example:

';Removing any harm from the road is charity (that will be rewarded by Allah).'; [Bukhari]

While people generally consider cleanliness a desirable attribute, Islam insists on it , making it an indispensable fundamental of the faith. A Muslim is required to be pure morally and spiritually as well as physically. Through the Qur'an and Sunnah Islam requires the sincere believer to sanitize and purify his entire way of life.

In the Qur'an Allah commends those who are accustomed to cleanliness:

';Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.'; [2: 22]

In Islam the Arabic term for purity is Taharah. Books of Islamic jurisprudence often contain an entire chapter with Taharah as a heading.

Allah orders the believer to be tidy in appearance:

    ';Keep your clothes clean.'; [74:4]

The Qur'an insists that the believer maintain a constant state of purity:

';Believers! When you prepare for prayer wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; rub your heads (with water) and (wash) your feet up to the ankles. If you are ritually impure bathe your whole body.'; [5: 6]

Ritual impurity refers to that resulting from sexual release, menstruation and the first forty days after childbirth. Muslims also use water, not paper or anything else to after eliminating body wastes.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) advised the Muslims to appear neat and tidy in private and in public. Once when returning home from battle he advised his army:

';You are soon going to meet your brothers, so tidy your saddles and clothes. Be distinguished in the eyes of the people.'; [Abu Dawud]

    On another occasion he said:

';Don't ever come with your hair and beard disheveled like a devil.';[Al-Tirmidhi]

    And on another:

';Had I not been afraid of overburdening my community, I would have ordered them to brush their teeth for every prayer.'; [Bukhari]

Moral hygiene was not ignored, either, for the Prophet (pbuh) encouraged the Muslims to make a special prayer upon seeing themselves in the mirror:

';Allah, You have endowed me with a good form; likewise bless me with an immaculate character and forbid my face from touching the Hellfire.'; [Ahmad]

And modesty in dress, for men as well as for women, assists one in maintaining purity of thought.

Being charitable is a way of purifying one's wealth. A Muslim who does not give charity (Sadaqah) and pay the required annual Zakah, the 2.5% alms-tax, has in effect contaminated his wealth by hoarding that which rightfully belongs to others:

';Of their wealth take alms so that you may purify and sanctify them.'; [9: 103]

All the laws and injunctions given by Allah and His Prophet (pbuh) are pure; on the other hand, man-made laws suffer from the impurities of human bias and other imperfections. Thus any formal law can only be truly just when it is purified by divine guidance - as elucidated by the Qur'an and the Sunnah - or if it is divinely ordained to begin with - the Shari'ah.

    Master Cleanse/Salt Water?

I am on Day 2 of the Master Cleanse. I am having a lot of trouble getting the salt water down! I was wondering, for those of you who have knowledge of this cleanse, how long should it be taking me to do this? I know you're supposed to drink it as quickly as possible. But if you're like me and it takes forever, what is the maximum amount of time I should take? My body just doesn't want to keep it down and I know if I throw it up, I'll never drink it again. I really want the benefits of the flush, but not sure if I'm physically able to get it down. Please help!! (If you are not familiar with the cleanse, please do not answer...)Master Cleanse/Salt Water?
Regarding the Salt Water Flush (SWF) it is one of the more difficult parts of the MC. Unfortunately, there is really no substitute for doing it! There is a forum that whenever I go through the cleanse I write a journal on it (http://www.mastercleanser.com/forum/) and there are some people that have been doing this for decades on there. Pretty much, it goes like this, you can attempt to adjust the salt to make it easier, but in the book itself Burroughs is not a fan of this. So, what I did with my SWF was to use a straw. If you use the normal ratio of the Celtic Salt and water -- then use the straw, it makes it easier and you will have a BM in usually for me about 30 min to an hour. That is why you should do it first, first, first thing in the morning. Also don't forget to drink your Senna tea at night to aid the SWF in the morning. In the book it says that you can sometimes (like once not the whole cleanse) substitute the tea for the SWF, but I would recommend against it because I tried that and it wasn't nearly as effective. I hope this helps you out! I would really check out that forum though, it is fantastic!

  • Do Muslim cleanse themselves with water before prayer?

Yes before every prayer. It's called wudu in arabic.

    Ablution in english.

Here are the steps on how to do it:

http://www.islamonline.net/english/intro鈥?/a>Do Muslim cleanse themselves with water before prayer?
yes. arms up to elbows, feet, nostrils, face, behind the ears, hands.Do Muslim cleanse themselves with water before prayer?
    Yes,

    wudu is the act of washing parts of the body using clean water performed by Muslims, as part of the preparation for ritual worship, salah. Wudu is often translated as ';partial ablution';, as opposed to ghusl, or ';full ablution';

    ';O you who believe! when you rise up to prayer, wash your faces and your hands as far as the elbows, wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you are under an obligation to perform a total ablution, then wash (yourselves) and if you are sick or on a journey, or one of you come from the privy, or you have touched the women, and you cannot find water, betake yourselves to pure earth and wipe your faces and your hands therewith, God does not desire to put on you any difficulty, but He wishes to purify you and that He may complete His favor on you, so that you may be grateful.';
Yes, it's called purification; most notably ablution.
Yes is called wudu! clean hands elbow, face up to the ears, neck and feet
How do you (no offense) pray..do you pray not being clean from the filth as you stand in front of your LORD (if you are religious..no offense)?????
    yes we do

I like to drink lemon juice with warm water for a daily cleanse. Will bottled juice be the same?

No. There are additives to bottled lemon juice that cause much more harm than good. Stick with fresh and you can't go wrong. There's nothing in fresh but good, old-fashioned sunshine and love...how can you go wrong with that?

Also, tap water is not the best water to drink in the city. Chlorine has been added, (among other chemicals that dry out and add toxins to the system) to the water you find in your tap. It's only logical when you think your question through. Your common sense will tell you what you need to do, follow that and you can't go wrong.

Best to you, my friend!I like to drink lemon juice with warm water for a daily cleanse. Will bottled juice be the same?
I use bottled--I get it at the health food store. The only ingredients are ';fresh pressed juice and puree from whole ripe certified organic lemons';. My only suggestion is that you use it soon after opening the bottle.I like to drink lemon juice with warm water for a daily cleanse. Will bottled juice be the same?
I would hope so, it is lemon juice that is in the bottle. See the direction on the bottle to see how much to use in a 8 oz glass of water. Happy cleansing .
Save your money on lemons. Just eat a healthy diet and drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Tap water is best if you are on a public water system. Save your money on bottled water. You need the minerals that are in the tap water. Your body automatically detoxifies itself. Too much citric acid can eat the enamel off of your teeth.
Juice from an actually lmon is always better, in bottles you never know what kinds of additives they use. Plus fresh is always better =)
This rule applies to everything ';Fresh is always best';.

Juices lose alot of their nutritional value as they sit. Plus, bottled juice probably is not pure. Just buy a bunch of lemons.

I love to drink warm water with lemon daily also, I find it cleansing and calming!

I need to know if i can do a cleanse at 17... and is it mandatory to drink sea salt water?

i need to know if i can do a cleanse at 17... and is it mandatory to drink sea salt water?I need to know if i can do a cleanse at 17... and is it mandatory to drink sea salt water?
    OMG... don't do that.

Those ';cleanses'; are dangerous and totally unnecessary. You don't need to do them, ever. Your body naturally cleanses itself on a moment to moment basis.I need to know if i can do a cleanse at 17... and is it mandatory to drink sea salt water?
I wouldn't recommend drinking sea salt water. Extra salt in your diet will lead to bloating and high blood pressure. The healthiest way to cleanse yourself is to heat a high fiber diet. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. The fiber will clean out toxins. High protein isn't bad, as long as you aren't eliminating carbs. Your body needs whole grains. Hope that helps. Check out

    www.health-outlook.com for more info
well before you do anything, let me just warn you not to get involved with any method using ';drinking salt water';. i have had patients who have almost died from dehydration. but a cleanse otherwise can be very good for you for the body's lymphatic system to flush out toxins as long as it uses only organic materials. BUT I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH. THE BEST CLEANSE HAPPENS ON A DAILY BASIS. USING THE BATHROOM, SWEATING, CRYING, ETC.
It's called the Master Cleanse, and for more then 50 years it's been used for rapid weight loss... rejuvenation... and to make health problems vanish ....

What do you mean by ';cleanse';? If you mean body detoxifying then drink 3 litres of water a day for a start.

Please do not drink sea water, it is highly unhealthy.

Eating more than 20g of Protein per 3 hours can be toxic.

Can you soak amethyst in salt water to cleanse it of its energies without harming it?

You should never soak crystals in salt water to cleanse them.

There are lots better ways to cleanse crystals without damaging them with salt water.

    1. put the crystal in the window sill in bright sunlight for a few hours.

2, pass the crystal though the smoke of white sage or frankinsence incense.

    3. wash them under running water.

    4. set them on a quartz cluster for a few days.

    5. Charge you hand with energy and pass your hand over the crystal several times withthe intent that you cleanse the crystal. and throw the bad energy from the crystal into running water, or into salt water. Can you soak amethyst in salt water to cleanse it of its energies without harming it?

To cleanse it of it's energies? It happens to be composed of matter, it's energies are nuclear fission!
I think you should just bury it in a shallow dish of salt - no water...
try it , but it may bend it's aura. try keeping it in your butt hole for a week. This should unbend the aura.
keep it overnight in a bed of salt. In the north eastern corner of you house. you are not to be looking at it as it gets cleansed...

Works best on a full moon day with moon shine falling on it
It would be best to rinse it in water to cleanse it of any negativity - soaking isnt that good of an idea.

Also, you could leave it out on the night of the full moon to really charge it up with positive energy. This is a good web page on crystals etc....
Yes, but you must add a sprig of parsley.
dont forget to say the magic work oogyzookymackywacky and pray to the god of stupidity first
yeah it wont hurt the stone, just cleanse its energys
Yes you can, All quartz crystals are easily cleansed this way,Some crystals dissolve in salt water but not Amethyst. If you you use Clear Quartz,it can be charged on Mid-Summers day on the branch of an Oak Tree. This brings more power to the crystal and wisdom to the Crystal Keeper.Crystals that are charged around the Summer-Solstice are highly significant.
What gave you the idea of salt water? Cannot say whether this would harm it or not but I myself would choose vinegar over salt water. If this works on my dentures, I'm sure it would do the trick on your gemstone! Clear white vinegar by the way!
yeah, for 30 days..that's what you're supposed to do.
You're not supposed to soak amethyst in salt water to cleanse it of its energies because that binds the energies in. You're supposed to soak it in a charcoal bath to cleanse it. Where did you ever hear that nonsense?
