Religions was made up by selfish humans to cover up their pain and suffering for their convenience. Its easier to blame on external thing than look internally. Its just an EXCUSE.Does water baptism really do cleanse your sins?

No, water baptism is the public declaration of your inner decision to become a Christian. The only cleansing that is done at the time of baptism is your body, and that's only if you don't shower before your baptism (not highly recommended lol)

There is two different Baptisms. Water Baptism is a commandment, but alone it doesn't save but rather is an open show of faith to the world that you truly believe. The other Baptism is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, which all receive when they repent and believe. There is a third, The Baptism of Fire. This is mainly for the Ministers of the Gospel.

baptism per say means to dye change colors or put a color and if your color is christian they can identify you like red white and blue you are American it's a Greek word!!
When Christ instituted the 7 Sacraments, he put a physical requirement on each. For example, for a baptism to be valid, the person has to pour water over the head and say the correct words, while have the correct intent. It is ultimately God that forgives the sins. The water is only a sign. However, if I were a convert taking classes for baptism, and I was sincere, and killed in a car wreck on the way to class, that is covered under baptism of desire, meaning I was taking active steps to be baptised, and therefore the same as having been baptised.
When we repent of our sins and put our faith in Christ, we are saved. That is when the Spiritual Baptism takes place. The water baptism is a work of our faith, an outward symbol of an inner work within us. It is also an act of obedience to God. All new Christian should get baptized as soon as possible, but water baptism does not save anyone.
only if you believe it does...water is the symbol used for cleansing, so something is getting cleaned. in christianity your original sins are washed away...unfortunately new sins soon replace them

At Christ's death is where the saving blood was shed and offered for our sins. How can we contact His blood if we have not contacted His death?

You are correct to note that there is ';one baptism'; (Ephesians 4:5) This baptism is the one commanded in the great commission (Mark 16:16). This is baptism immersion in water (Acts 8:36-38, Acts 10:47-48).





It is compared to the water of the flood that washed away the wickedness from the world and delivered Noah's family to a new life in a newly cleansed world. At baptism, we rise to walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4) We cannot be saved if we are not ';born again'; into this new life.





Note that Spirit baptism was a promise, and never a command. This promise was fulfilled in Acts 2.





The baptism that ';saves'; (1 Peter 3:21) was a command (Acts 10:48, Mark 16:16) and it requires us to obey.
No, in my opinion and through many years of study, I feel that water baptism is not a saving thing. What I've seen it do is to introduce us to God in an adoption. God adopts us into a group of believers with the idea that this group will teach us and raise us to become believers. Only believing in Jesus will save a person. Baptism has little to do with one's beliefs, especially if it is an infant baptism.

you have three different adjectives for baptism. Why make it so complicated. Your sins are not cleansed by baptism anyway. Your sins were washed away by the blood of Jesus on Calvary, if you accept him as your Lord and Savior.
