What temperature water cleanses your face best? Hot or cold?

Dirt and dead skin cells stuck in pores are what cause pimples and blackheads.

You start with hot water, or if you can hot water vapor... there are devices for that but it can be done by puting a pot of water to boil, and then turning it to low heat, puting your head over the pot and a towel over your head and the pot, like a tent. Stay that way for like 5 minutes and it'll open your pores. Since your pores are open, you get all the crud out of them.

Next use the cleanser/cream/soap that you use, preferrably with an exfoliating sponge. First rub the product in your hands to froth it up and also warm it because you don't want the cold product to close your pores! After puting it on your face, use the sponge. Wash of with hot water because you still want your pores to be open.

AFTER that, finish with cold water for a few minutes. This will CLOSE the pores, which prevents more dirt from getting into the pores.

You can also use this procedure for those peel-off facial masks... hot water to open pores, the mask, peel, wash off with cold water.

Hope this helps! What temperature water cleanses your face best? Hot or cold?
I would assume hot water. It opens your pores and it's easier for a cleanser or soap to get in and clean it out. I believe cold water tightens pores, giving the opposite effect, only cleaning the surface of the face. What temperature water cleanses your face best? Hot or cold?
Hot water dries out the skin, you should use luke warm to slightly cool water. And not use ';soapy'; cleaners because they container harsh detergents that can also dry your skin. Cream cleansers are the best.

Not too hot, not too cold. Just a bit warmer than lukewarm water; it keeps your skin soft and cleanses efficiently.
cleanse with warm, soapy water

rinse with cold.

something to do with the pores, i believe?
